Photographer Jon Aasen, a photoholic creator of content.

My name is Jon and among many occupations i am a photographer. Nature and landscape has for a long time been an essential part of my pictures. Even so I do take photographs or film of everything I find interesting. Including sports, travel and cities as examples.

I grew up in a small town Tydal in the eastern part of Trøndelag. At early age I started capturing pictures of nature and landscapes. My father has always been curious about the nature and it clearly has formed me as well. I have studied biology at NTNU in Trondheim, and even though I did not end up working directly in the disciplines of it, I believe it makes it easier for me to show the true nature as it is.

My main philosophy is: “Wherever there is any kind of light, there is a possibility to take great photos”.  Due to my later occupations I am a technically oriented photographer. That means that I have a clear opinion regarding which techniques and tools are fitting for my creativity.

This website is first of all a platform for you to able to see my photographs and other content. You will find a webshop whit prints for purchase. And I will be giving you some insights through my blog on where I roam and how I create my pictures.
